Today the wonder husband had a day off so we braved the high winds and rain clouds and went to the Museum of Childhood in Bethnal Green. Little b had a brilliant time practicing walking and running. She switched from default crawling to default walking between Christmas and New Year, hardly ever crawls anymore and is delighted with her new freedom. The exhibits are really interesting, covering historical children's clothes, prams, dolls houses(oh my, the dolls houses!Amazing!) and other toys. I didn't get to look at them very much as I was chasing a small person round the display cases. There are  interactive play areas throughout to occupy little ones and a shop and cafe at the centre of the museum. We had a tasty lunch in the cafe( word of warning though, it was quite expensive, but there is a picnic area downstairs for those more organised than me) and then strolled back to the tube(subway to those not from London Town) via Brick Lane where I let out my inner tourist and took far too many photos.
Tomorrow I'll take you down an interesting little side street.
