Calendar Love

I'm not normally a calendar girl. I don't really need them, which tells you what a boring life I lead. My day job simply requires me to turn up and work, no meetings or schedules or advance planning. I may or may not remember to send birthday cards in time, which I'm sure does not make me a very good friend. And I have simply bumbled through the rest of my life like a care free little bumblebee.

This year, in an attempt to be organised and grown up, I have not one, but two calendars. (And a filofax that will probably get opened about 3 times- baby steps, right?)

The first calendar is this work of art by Nikki McClure. It hangs over my kitchen table and fills me with joy every time I look at it. I love the simple nature of the paper cuts, there is something so peaceful and calming about them. I ordered it here.

The second calendar was a happy surprise, it came with the November issue of Molly Makes. It was designed by Jeanette Lunde, who writes Fryd+Design, a truly stunning blog. I put this one next the the computer and have actually added birthdays! There is hope people will get their birthday cards on time this year.
